Phenix City Board of Education appoints interim superintendent

PHENIX Town, Ala. (WTVM) – Phenix Metropolis Board of Instruction (PCBOE) announced its new interim superintendent.

Currently, Dr. Darrell Seldon was unanimously accredited by PCBOE for the position.

Seldon is a Columbus, Ga native with 29 several years of tutorial and leadership expertise.

The new interim superintendent began his job in schooling as a math teacher right after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with teacher certification from Alabama State University. He afterwards attended Columbus State College for his Master’s Degree and Valdosta Point out University, in which he acquired his Doctorate.

Seldon gave a statement stating,

This final decision came following the board launched former Superintendent Randy Wilkes from his agreement. In the course of Wilkes’s eight-12 months tenure, he and Seldon labored carefully with each other.
