Former special education teacher pleads guilty to battery charges related to incident at elementary school

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – A former special education and learning teacher in West Virginia has pleaded guilty to 10 misdemeanor counts of battery involving a number of pupils.

Information shops report Nancy Boggs entered the plea in Kanawha County Circuit Courtroom stemming from incidents past September at Holz Elementary School in Charleston.

Boggs admitted to hitting just one woman scholar with a cupboard doorway, pulling her hair and pulling a chair out from under her.

Boggs also admitted to slamming an additional child’s head into a desk and slapping a third boy or girl. Surveillance cameras captured the classroom incidents.

She faces up to a calendar year in jail and a $500 great for just about every count. Sentencing is set for Aug. 2.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A previous unique schooling trainer pleaded responsible to 10 counts of battery Tuesday.

In court, Nancy Boggs admitted to slapping and pulling chairs out from beneath three students although employed by Kanawha County Faculties.

The expenses stem from an incident in September of 2021 at Holz Elementary College in Charleston, West Virginia.

The incidents ended up captured on a classroom video clip digital camera. College directors then notified police.

Boggs will continue being on home confinement, officers say.

Boggs is scheduled to be sentenced on August 2.

Boggs faces a year in jail and a $500 good for each count.
