I appreciate the close-knit community at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. Being part of a smaller college means that everyone knows each other, creating a welcoming and supportive environment where I can truly be myself without feeling pressured to fit in. The professors are incredibly kind and always take the time to provide guidance, whether in class or on individual projects.
As a full-time student, I love that I have the flexibility to create a schedule that works best for me, preventing burnout and allowing me to stay focused. One challenge I face is finding time to meet with the financial aid department. Since this is a private college without dorms, I live in an apartment across town and hope to explore more scholarship opportunities to help with tuition costs.
As a first-generation college student raised by a single mother on a Native American Indian Reservation, every financial resource matters. I am committed to finding ways to make my education more affordable and take full advantage of the opportunities available to me.
